This year, the 23rd Goeast central and Eastern European Film Festival will be held from April 26 to May 2 in Wiesbaden, Germany.
The Ukrainian program is presented at the festival in many directions.
All films from the goeast program can be viewed for free by Ukrainian refugees who have submitted their identity cards at the box office.
goEast is a central and Eastern European Film Festival organized by DFF, the German Film Institute and Film Museum, and supported by numerous partners. The main sponsors are HessenFilm und Medien GmbH, the capital of Wiesbaden, Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain, the Goethe Institute in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of foreign affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Renovabis, the city of Eschborn, the online library of Central and Eastern Europe GmbH/CEEOL.
The festival's partners were also joined by the Mariupol Film Commission/ NGO "IDAMI" and "Ukrainian Coordination Center in Frankfurt".
goEast opens on April 26 with the film "Aurora Rising" (Armenia, Germany, Lithuania, 2022).
